Octacode ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy applies to our website, mobile applications on the Google Play Store, and our services as a WhatsApp Tech Provider.

1. Our No-Data-Storage Commitment

At Octacode, we prioritize your privacy by following a Privacy-by-Design approach. We do not store personal user data, chat logs, or PII (Personally Identifiable Information) on our servers. Our services act as a real-time bridge/processor; data is processed in transit and purged immediately after the session ends.

2. Information Processing (Google Play & WhatsApp)

Depending on the service used, we may process the following:

• Messaging Services: Phone numbers and message content are processed in real-time to facilitate automated replies.
• Mobile Apps: We do not collect device identifiers, location data, or contact lists. If an app requires a permission (like Camera for QR scanning), it is used locally on your device and never uploaded to our servers.
• Business Assets: We manage API tokens and catalogs on behalf of our business clients strictly for service functionality.

3. Data Processing Role

Octacode acts as a technology service provider and Data Processor. We process data on behalf of our business clients ("Data Controllers") according to their instructions. We do not share, sell, or rent any user data or Platform Data to third parties.

4. Third-Party Services

Our services interface with third-party platforms (such as Meta for WhatsApp or Google for Play Store services). These platforms may collect data according to their own privacy policies. We encourage users to review the Meta Business Messaging Policy and Google Play Terms of Service.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

We do not retain data beyond the 30-day period permitted for technical troubleshooting. How to request deletion: Although we do not store data, you may formally request the purging of any transient logs by emailing support@octacode.org with the subject "Data Deletion Request." We will respond within 48 hours.

6. Children’s Privacy

Our services are not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect or process data from children.
